When seeking to explain the English climate to people who live outside that weather battered island, I say they have nine months of winter and three months of terrible weather. Which is why, as soon as the wind stood fair, I left.

That would be lovely. We had lots of family over last year, but this year it’s very difficult to travel from France to England, making visits from England virtually impossible. I hope we can invite you both over when travel restrictions allow.
